Prescription Orthotics

Orthotics, also known as insoles or shoe inserts, are designed to correct poor foot posture and abnormal or irregular walking patterns. Prescription orthotic insoles are shaped specifically for you and work to correct and realign your foot and ankle bones to their natural position.

As a result, a foot orthotic can:

  • Reduce pain
  • Provide support
  • Prevent or halt the development of foot deformity
  • Improve your posture
  • Improve your gait

Chiropractors treat the whole body and can determine how the use of orthotics can complement other treatment, for example, for a back, hip, knee or ankle problem.

Jamie Fraser-Nash, Amethyst’s Doctor of Chiropractic and Clinical Hypnotherapist, can not only determine if you require orthotics but is also trained in fitting them specifically for your feet.

We also use specific mobilization and manipulation techniques on the feet to ensure that areas of restricted movement are released, which will have an effect on how your feet are functioning and will help your problem resolve even more quickly.
